Liner, painting, blooming, solid and stamping gels formulated without HEMA. Fine detail, ombre and full designs that stay put and cure under any LED or UV lamp, made for clients who need a gentler formula.

Detail work that does not cost a sensitive client their appointment

Art gels are worth checking as carefully as the colour underneath. They are applied in small amounts, so they are easy to overlook, but a liner dragged across the cuticle or a stamping gel pressed onto the skin puts the product exactly where a reaction starts. Keeping the art HEMA free is what makes a whole HEMA free service actually HEMA free.

These behave the same way their standard counterparts do. Liner and spider gels stay where you put them and hold a fine line without spreading, blooming gels open into soft watercolour edges, and the chrome and gem gels cure hard enough to sit under a top coat without smearing.

What is in the range

  • Spider gels from $7.95 for stretched lines and wire work, and Gem Gels at $14.95 for raised, jewel-like detail.
  • Stamping gel at $9.95 for plate work, and Blooming Watercolour gel at $13.60 for marble and ombre effects.
  • Metallic silver and gold mirror chrome gels at $10.95, for a chrome finish without loose pigment.
  • Cat eye magnetic gels from $10.40, including the reflective and laser series. Each needs a magnet to draw the effect.
  • Peel off nail latex at $14.95 to keep the cuticle clean while you work.

HEMA Free Nail Art Gels FAQs

Liner gels for fine detail, solid gels in palettes and jars for colour work, metallic painting gels in silver, gold and rose gold, stamping gel for plate designs, spider gel for stretched lines, blooming gel for watercolour and marble effects, cat eye magnetic gels, and chrome and mirror gels. Plus the art extras that go with them: gem gel, foil transfer gel, 3D poke and water droplet gels, ombre pat pat gel, nail art markers and peel off latex barrier.

Liner gel is richly pigmented and brushes on like paint, so it is the one for crisp fine lines and detail. Spider gel is thick and stretchy, so you pull it into threads across the nail for webs, geometric lines and abstract designs without needing a steady brush hand.

Most of them, yes, so the design is protected and the surface is even. There are exceptions. The mirror chrome and metallic painting gels cure tack free and are finished as they are, and the Water Droplet Art Gel should not be top coated or you will flatten the droplets. Shop our HEMA Free Top Coats for one that suits your finish.

They are made to go over a cured base colour, and the shade underneath changes how the effect reads. The effect also builds with the number of layers, so two thin coats read deeper than one. Try the same bottle over black, nude and white to see the range. You will need a magnet to draw the line.

The gels do, under standard LED or UV lamps like the rest of your gels. The nail art markers and the peel off latex barrier are the exceptions, they air dry and never go near the lamp. Cure times vary between the art gels, so follow the individual product, and a couple, like the foil transfer gel, ask for at least a 36W lamp.
