Nail Art Foils FAQs

At NSI Nails, we provide our customers with a range of nail foils that can be used on natural nails, gels, acrylics and more. No matter what nail base you’re working with, you’ll find a nail foil to suit. Some nail foils require curing under a LED/UV lamp for the best results, while others can be secured with air-dry nail glue and a top coat. To ensure sturdy, long-lasting results, follow the instructions and contact our team if you need any help.

Our in-house chemists and nail professionals try and test all our nail products and accessories to ensure we deliver high-quality products to our customers. If you’re having trouble getting your nail foils to stick, revisit your application steps. When using an air-dry adhesive glue, it’s important to let it dry clear before laying your foil over it. Once it’s clear, it will remain tacky and provide the best bond for long-lasting wear.

Apply a thin layer of Nail Foil Transfer Gel and cure it for about three minutes in a lamp of at least 36W. Press the foil on firmly, check every part has released from the film, then peel the film away and seal with top coat.

Foil gel is cured in a lamp and suits a gel service. Foil Adhesive Glue is air-dry: brush it on and let it dry for about 10 to 15 minutes before you press the foil. Both finish under a top coat.

Transfer foil comes on a roll and releases a printed pattern from its film when pressed onto the nail. Nail Art Leaf Foil is loose gold or silver leaf that you lay onto a tacky layer for a scattered, gilded look.

Sealed under a gel top coat, it lasts as long as the rest of the set. Under air-dry polish it wears faster, especially along the free edge, so cap the edge with your top coat.
