Spooky Eclipse Black to Clear Thermo Pigment
Our Nail Success Eclipse is black on cool nails and fades to see-through as they warm, revealing the colour or art underneath. When the nail cools, the black comes back.
- 🖤 Reveal designs that react to warm hands, warm water or a hot drink
- 🔁 Reversible, so clients can show off the change again and again
- ✨ Longer nails often settle into a soft ombre, darker at the tip
Features
A fine thermochromic powder that mixes into gel base coat or top coat, adding more for a deeper black. Bright or light shades show through best, as a faint haze can remain.
How to Use
- Apply base coat and the colour or design you want revealed. Cure fully.
- Mix a small amount of Eclipse into gel base coat (best wear) or top coat.
- Apply thin coats, curing each one fully.
- Seal with gel top coat and cure.
- Let the nail cool, or dip it in cold water, to see the full black.
Don't worry if Eclipse starts to fade while you work. A freshly cured layer is still warm from the lamp, so the pigment starts to turn see-through, then the black comes back as the nail cools.
Care and Storage
Sun, UV and heat gradually weaken the colour change. Store tightly closed somewhere cool, dry and dark. Don't thin with acetone or alcohol, and keep uncured mixes off skin. Results vary with temperature, amount and method.
