Nail Rhinestone Wheels

Rhinestone wheels are the easiest way to keep nail gems stocked and sorted. Each wheel is divided into small compartments of crystals, pearls, studs or metal shapes in graded sizes, so you can pull the exact stone you need mid set instead of digging through a bag. They take up almost no desk space and cost less than buying stones individually.

The range covers clear AB crystals, coloured rhinestones, white and pastel pearls, gold and silver studs, mixed pattern wheels and pearl and bead mixes, alongside the tools that make placement quick: wax stone pickers, dual ended pickers and a triangular tray for tipping stones out. Gem Gel and 3D Nail Art Gel are here too, so stones stay put for the full wear of the set.

Stock is held in Australia and dispatched from the Gold Coast, with free shipping on orders over $150.

Why a wheel beats loose bags of stones

A rhinestone wheel is a small case divided into compartments, each holding one size or colour graded in order. You open it once, pick the stone you need and close it. Nothing spills, nothing gets mixed, and you are not tipping a bag onto a towel mid set and hunting for the one 1mm crystal you need.

It also works out cheaper. Buying the same range of sizes individually costs several times more than a wheel, and you end up with far more of each size than a nail desk ever uses.

Nail Rhinestone Wheels FAQs

Most nail work sits between 1mm and 3mm. 1mm and 1.5mm are for scattered detail and outlining, 2mm is the everyday size for a focal cluster, and 3mm and above is a statement stone you would use once or twice per nail. A mixed-size wheel covers the everyday sizes in one purchase, which is why it is the sensible place to start.

Use a dedicated gem gel rather than top coat or builder. Place a small dot, press the stone in so the gel comes slightly up its sides, then cure. The gel needs to grip the edges of the stone, not just sit underneath it. Finish by capping around the stone, not over the top of it.

A wax picker for anything under 3mm. The wax tip lifts the stone cleanly and releases it as soon as it touches the gel, which is far more controlled than tweezers. Keep the tip clean, and refresh it by pressing it into a fresh piece of wax when it stops gripping.

Set properly in gem gel, they will last the life of the set, around two to three weeks. Stones usually come off early for one of two reasons: the gel was only under the stone rather than around its edges, or the set was capped over the top with top coat, which lifts as it wears and takes the stone with it.

You can, if they come off intact during removal. Soak them clean of gel and dry them fully before they go back in the wheel. Most techs do not bother at these prices, but for large or specialty stones it is worth it.

A wheel holds one type of stone graded by size, which suits everyday work. A tray holds a curated mix of shapes, pearls and charms, which suits offering a nail art menu. Most salons end up with both.
