Hema Free Gel Polishes

Create beautiful manicures with our HEMA-free nail gels

Have your clients been complaining about allergic reactions to gel polishes? Or have you noticed irritation around your fingernails and cuticles? It could be the HEMA in the nail products that’s causing these nasty reactions, and it might be time to try our popular sought-after range of HEMA-free nail products. We have everything from HEMA-free gel nail polish to primers, top coats and more to give your clients the results they’ve been looking for. The range also covers HEMA-free nail art gels for liner, spider, stamping and blooming work.

What is HEMA, and why is it bad for you?

HEMA, also known as 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate or hydroxyethyl methacrylate, is used as an adhesive in gel polish. On the upside, the chemical gives nails a hard and shiny finish but can cause irritation and allergic reactions when it comes in contact with the skin.

Why choose HEMA-free nail products

Our specially formulated HEMA-free nail products are gentle and safe for even the most sensitive skin, allowing you to create stunning, long-lasting manicures. Need a cleanser that removes and washes layers of cured gel? Our HEMA-free nail cleanser removes even the most stubborn and tacky gel products. Or try our HEMA-free nail dehydrator that can be used to clean and dehydrate the nails’ surface. This dehydrator is perfect to use before primers and other nail enhancements.

Looking to strengthen your nails so they grow longer naturally? Our HEMA-free strengthener, which is also formaldehyde, toluene and DBP-free, is a perfect choice. You can use this as a curable base layer before applying gel polish, as it works as a protective layer between the nail's surface and the polish.

Need a HEMA-free gel polish? Discover our extensive colour palette, featuring everything from soft nudes and blush pinks to bright reds, vibrant greens and more. With our vast palette at your fingertips, you’re free to create and perfect salon-quality manicures while minimising the risk of irritation or reactions.

Hema Free Gel Polishes FAQs

HEMA is a chemical commonly used in the production of modern nail products. While it’s an effective ingredient, it can harm the nails and the surrounding skin. HEMA-free nail products are, therefore, a safer alternative, as they do not contain this damaging chemical and are much better for your nails and skin health.

HEMA is an important component of many acrylic powders. Without HEMA, the powder would be too dry and crumbly to work with. However, not all acrylic powders contain HEMA. Still, it must be noted that HEMA-free products can create the same results without the toxins.

If you’ve been Googling the meaning of HEMA-free gels, the answer is simple: skin-friendly formulas that let you create show-stopping manicures without potential discomfort or sensitivity. HEMA is a common ingredient in gel polish that provides a high-gloss finish. However, this can also be drying and irritating to the skin. With our range of HEMA-free gels, you’ll still get unbeatable shine and professional results, while keeping both you and your clients safe and protected.

HEMA is often found in many types of nail polish. HEMA is a substance that helps to prevent the nails from drying out and breaking. It also helps to give the nails a glossy finish. You should be aware of some potential side effects before using nail polish with HEMA.

Yes! HEMA-free nail products do not contain the chemical compound HEMA. While they may be more expensive than those that use HEMA, they offer a safer alternative for consumers concerned about the potential health risks of this chemical compound.

If you’re a professional nail technician, offering HEMA-free manicures shows you truly care about your clients’ nail health and overall wellbeing. It builds trust, strengthens client loyalty and sets you apart from your competitors.

When applied, HEMA-free products perform just like traditional nail systems. A HEMA-free gel polish can last up to two to three weeks of chip-free wear, while builder gels and acrylics offer the durability and strength professionals rely on. With the right prep, application and aftercare, your HEMA-free manis can look flawless for just as long as regular formulas.

As for shelf life, most HEMA-free gel polishes and builder gels remain fresh for around 12 to 18 months unopened. Once opened, it’s best to use them within 6 months to ensure the formula applies smoothly.

Not all HEMA-free nail products are vegan. Although they’re often associated with a reduced risk of allergic reactions, some formulas can still contain animal-derived ingredients. To be sure, always check the label or product description for vegan certification before purchasing.
